Located in the heart of the city, this residence was reimagined as a sanctuary that balances urban life with the tranquility of nature. The homeowners, avid mountaineers and art collectors, envisioned a home that reflects their passions, faith, and lifestyle—while serving as a welcoming space for gatherings.

Inspired by the liberating perspective of standing at a mountain summit, the design team restructured the layout to remove barriers and extend sightlines, creating openness in both horizontal and vertical dimensions. Flowing circulation and layered material transitions link public and private areas, shaping a spatial rhythm that is both ordered and free.

At the entrance, a custom display wall of stainless steel, wood veneer, and thin brick introduces the home’s refined character, combining storage with exhibition to transform personal collections into part of the living narrative. The open-plan living and dining area connects seamlessly to a reading room and kitchen island, encouraging interaction while preserving clarity through subtle shifts in material and ceiling design.

Transitioning to the private quarters, the hallway employs sloped ceilings, muted stone, and indirect lighting to create a calm, immersive passage. Bedrooms extend the cool-toned palette with light wood accents, while the study maximizes natural light, pairing hidden storage with a full-height book wall to balance function and personal retreat.
